to avoid looking like a clown,go for neutral shades. browns, bronze, golden, copper should work great. neutral shades of brown work for every skin tones. it can be an everyday look or even a special look, depending on the texture of your eyeshadow. i recommend the body shop shimmer cubes (warm). they have four shades of neutral browns, bronze, copper and champaine and it works for EVERYBODY. you can play around with the shades, blend or mix them, and i garantee you will never look like a clown in it!
try deep jewel tones! anything light can wash you outhttp://www.studiodirectcosmetics.com/min鈥?/a> some ideas hmmm try the Loreal HIP line
hmmm. I think shimmery purple eyeshadow would look great on you, especially if your eyes are brown or hazel. It'll make them pop. Navy blue eyeshadow would look good too.

hope this was helpful:)x
probaly pastel colors like light blue or purple
Any bright colour, like blue, green, but i wouldn't go for yellow, orange might be alrite! it also depends on how thick the line of the eyeshadow is when you put it on, thinner makes it look more natural ant thicker makes it more brighter and daring.
You can never look like a clown deliberately. That's plain nonsense!

Yes, there are certain colours that will clash with your skin colour, but THERE ARE certain colours that will even put an angel to shame. The rule is that darker your skin, the brighter the colour. Go mad with purple, dark blue, gold, maroon, all shades of brown and deep pinks. Nobody can wear these colours like you can.

If you're young and have a thing for pastel shades, throw caution to the air and plaster them on! Youth forgives most fashion blunders.
Go to JC Penny's or Dillards cosmetic counter and let the girls tehre help you find the right shade for you- its free and they are trained.
Never, ever wear pink or white. Try gold, teal liquid liner, or bronze, but never together. :]
i think a gold or greens would look really nice try Avon True color eyeshadow quad. there about $7.00

Ooh! Try a color by MAC called ';Electric Eel'; ... it's electric blue, and I've seen it on several dark skinned girls and it looks GORGEOUS! It blends soooo well!!

Something else you could do is go to a make up counter (I'd recommend MAC because they have the widest variety of colors) and have an artist either 1) do your make up (a lot of times you'll get a discount on make up if you pay for a make over) or 2) have them help you choose a few colors. I also recommend MAC because they are reasonably priced as far as high end make up goes.

Loreal HIP also makes colors that are close to it, so you could always go have them help you pick out colors and go to Target and get the cheaper version!
Look into fashion magazines for inspiration. Also go to a department store that have professional makeup artists and they can give you advice. Personally maybe a lavender, periwinkle or a light pink would complement your skin tone. If you don't like pastels maybe gold would look nice too. Good luck
Instead of using bright colors which could be the cause of your clown-like looks, use light colors. You may not think that they will show up but that's because you gotta find the right stuff!! Revlon makes some really nice liquid eyeshadow which really stands out (in a good way) and lasts. Find a light color that you think would go well with the majority of your outfits, and try it out! They have this at most drugstores... and if you have longs drugstore anywhere nearby, that would probably be best because they have a makeup return policy so if it doesn't work for you, you can get your money back. Hope that helps!
gold, bronze, mauves. i suggest going to the makeup counter they can help you out alot.
maroon or greens and blues
