What shades of eyeshadow and colors on eyeliner would look good on me?
1st- what are the best brands to get? 2nd- i have medium to dark colored blonde hair. its not brown though

I have blue eyes too, a good rule of thumb is to go Opposite your eye color, to really make your eyes ';pop'; or stand out. I use Maybelline ExpertWear Eye Shadow, they come in 4 packs of color, all complimentary to one another. I use # 22(Chai Latte, and #40 Designer Chocolates). The best part for you would be the diagram they have on the back showing you where to apply the color. this would be a good option to start with. When you get more comfortable usng color, you can start picking and choosing your own shades independantly. As far as eyeliner, go with a color similar to your eye lashes, stay close to the lashline and don't make it too thick. Also, if you dont mind eye-liner, I'd try a very thin line of it on your eye lid, obviously close to your eyelashes, instead of where we normally wear it. That also, will make your eyes appear lighter, try a little bit of blush to make your cheek bones appear higher, and probably a clear lip gloss, unless you have thin lips, use lip liner. I have brown eyes..and even though I use just about every shade.. purple isn't the strongest color.. browns.. greens.. blues..golds..mostly earth tones look great especially if you're looking for something natural.. Go to the website I provided..you can uplaod your own pic..and try out different make up.. to be honest its not the shades you use but how you use them..

If you only use a little bit of makeup I'd do the following. Vanilla color shadow under your browbone, purple on your lids and a pink in the crease. little bit of liner and some black mascara. As for lips a color like ';French Toast'; by Covergirl with a super light pink gloss overtop. That way lips are natrualish with some color, eyes have some punch, and it's still not heavy makeup.

First apply to entire eyelid (soft shimmer pink) that includes under the lower eye lid.
Second apply lower part of eye lid directly under eyebrow bone, the (soft rose)
Third, apply a v shape of Vintage gold on outside of eyelid, rub and blend in all colors.
Follow that up with Brown Eye liner. And Black-brown Mascara
For Blush- us Sierra pink
lip color a light-medium Rose-followed by clear lip gloss

Considering you have brown eyes (since most Asians do) I'd suggest purples (not royal, more in the lilac for day and plum for night), greens (not lime - olives and earthy tones) and browns (any shade) for your eyes.
Paired with great dark brown eyeliner and black mascara, these colors make eyes pop against your specific skintone. Try to stay away from warm colors (red, yellow, orange) since they don't contrast with your skin and seem forced.

Yes! Pinks look great on fair skin. Any pastel color (light blue, lavender, pale green, peach) looks good on fair skin. I have fair skin too and I always found it hard to get eyeshadow colors that don't look too strong on me. Some dark colors can also look good, but not to use during the day. The dark colors look too strong for the day, but look good when going out at night. Some dark colors that look good are navy blue, dark purple, and olive green. Yes! Pinks look great on fair skin. Any pastel color (light blue, lavender, pale green, peach) looks good on fair skin. I have fair skin too and I always found it hard to get eyeshadow colors that don't look too strong on me. Some dark colors can also look good, but not to use during the day. The dark colors look too strong for the day, but look good when going out at night. Some dark colors that look good are navy blue, dark purple, and olive green. For your lips you could try Myth lipstick from MAC. Its as nude as nude can get and you can go from there and put a nude pink lip gloss over it, I suggest either Underage or Prr. Maybe even Oyster Girl.
I also suggest Angel lipstick from MAC. Its a very pretty pink.

But if you wanted to get dressy for a night out, you could try some dark smoky browns or deep purples (shadow and liner) on your eyes -- hard to describe what color lipstick, since 'red' has so many different shades. However, you look like you might have a Warm skin tone (i.e, with gold or yellow undertones) ...so any lip color you choose, make sure it isn't a bluey-red or too plummy. You have gorgeous eyes, play those up!
For an everyday 'natural' look, I might suggest some earthtones, with light spicy browns, peaches (esp. for blush) and taupes. I wouldn't do a hard black eyeliner, that would be too harsh IMO (unless you're Goth.) I'd use a brown pencil. If you are going to go heavy on the eyes, maybe just use a sheer nude or tinted lipgloss. Bath and Body Works has some nice sheers with SPF. :-)

Choose 3 items you just couldn't live without. so when your running late you'll know exactly what to put on. and its always going to be quick.
i chose my 3, because of how good the makeup looked with just 3 things.
i chose, MASCARA!! nude lipstick and Foundation. (mineral powder foundation) and that's what i use everyday. only occasionally i add a dab of blush here or there or some eyeshadow.
But then at night i really have fun with my makeup!!
Violet and Smoky eyes are SO dramatic and beautiful for a night time look. NEVER wear bold eye makeup with bold lips NEVER EVER. ewww...
either dramatic eyes or bold lips!!
so if you choose red lipstick keep the rest of ur makeup, mascara, eyeliner, foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer and blush all on the down low.
and if you choose very dramatic eyes keep everything else minimal, opting for nude colour or light pink lips.

I believe in 3 makeup musts.
Choose 3 items you just couldn't live without. so when your running late you'll know exactly what to put on. and its always going to be quick.
i chose my 3, because of how good the makeup looked with just 3 things.
i chose, MASCARA!! nude lipstick and Foundation. (mineral powder foundation) and that's what i use everyday. only occasionally i add a dab of blush here or there or some eyeshadow.
But then at night i really have fun with my makeup!!
Violet and Smoky eyes are SO dramatic and beautiful for a night time look. NEVER wear bold eye makeup with bold lips NEVER EVER. ewww...
either dramatic eyes or bold lips!!
so if you choose red lipstick keep the rest of ur makeup, mascara, eyeliner, foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer and blush all on the down low.
and if you choose very dramatic eyes keep everything else minimal, opting for nude colour or light pink lips.

foundation: you have to get a foundation color that match your skin tone. If you feel that you want to whiten your skin tone like all asians, you can use green to correct for reddish colors like the areas near the nose. you can use purple base to correct for yellow tone of skin. (i heard that purple color corrects the grey unhealthy tone of asian skin. i haven't found purple powder to give that a try yet, but thats the idea) You can get these at missha foundation (green and purple) for cheap and i think it works decent. i asked this cvs makeup person to help me choose another foundation, she choose loreal tru match cool natural ivory. its slightly ligher skin tone than my actual color and it is a little more pink to correct that yellowish tone i have. just let them know what you want. there are more tricks than that but i m still learning about it at the moment.
mascara: maybelline makes good mascara and even super models like to use that brand. if you want longer lashes try using that maybelline xxl (the one with black and white tips). the white is suppose to lengthen your lash, when its almost dried up... use the black tip to darken. i normally just get the cheap maybelline ones. they work fine.
eyeliner: i use loreal le kohl. personally, i don't like pencil, because of my type of eyes smears the liner. So i use liquid eyeliner, but i hear that gel eyeliner is easier to use because its in between pencil and liquid liner. if you do choose pencil still, get the kohl ones. its softer and easier to apply.

eye shadow: i like the brown colors, because its not as easy to see if i don't blend my colors as well. blending from dark to light is the key. darker colors closer to the lid and blend up. From asian make up artist, they say blue and green are good for yellow skin tones. i had difficulties making my blues look blended naturally and i haven't tried green yet. i think browns are safest. get shadows that already got all the colors picked for you in a pack. additionally, i got myself a black shadow for smokey eye blend. you can use black shadows to make your whatever colors look darker too.
lip gloss: i personally like the victoria secret ones, because it makes the lips look more sexy like angelina jolie's lips.

Well, I wear neither and I am 13. Not because my parents say No, but because I like the way I am. But I know many people started wearing makeup such as eyeliner and eyeshadow and lip gloss at the ages of 10-11. I don't think its to young to wear makeup. Hopefully your parents let you!

Nope, i was around 8-9 when i first started wearing make-up. I think you should start, i gives you a little heads up for when your a little bit older. The best items to start of with is a clear/tinted pink lipgloss and maybe a palette of different colour eyeshadows.
lip gloss should be acceptable but i don't know about eyeshadow. Besides, why wear make up if you don't need to. no i'm not a parent but i just feel as though teens and pre-teens focus too much on these things while they coukld be studying.

I have the same skin tone and eye color as you, I also have strawberry blond hair. I use brownish black mascara (black is entirely too dramatic)(Maybeline in a pink tube~it's new). I also use a shimmery brown eyeshadow (once again Maybeline (this goes on with a roller at the end!) Finally for you lip gloss I would go with a light pink color. Try a few and see what looks good. I'm still experimenting to find a good one.
The girl who answered before me suggested pink or silver eyeshadow. I would have to completely disagree. I have tried both of these colors and both have completely made me look even paler than I already am.

To really make your eyes stand out use a black or grey/charcoal coloured eyeshadow on the eyelid just to the crease.
Use a white or silvery eyeshadow to highlight your browbone (just under the eyebrow).
Get your eyebrows waxed before applying.
Use black eyeline on the upper eyelid only along the lashes after applying eyeshadow.
Get an eyelash curler and curl eyelashes then apply black mascara (a couple of coats).
Select a nice light pink lip gloss and a bit of pink blush on the apples of your cheeks.
You should be able to get all of this in Maybellines. This is a really sexy look for night time. Your eyes will be smouldering and will really stand out.
If you were to have pale skin go with a kind of peachy pink blush on the cheek bones . NO eyeliner!! Black mascara. And to exsentuate the grey-blue eyes go for a light but bold color such as a peachy natural pink shadow . More pink than the blush with a natural lip color lip gloss%26gt;YOU WILL LOOK STUNNING!!

First want to let you know, great choice of eyeshadow colors, this colors bring out the green tones from your eyes. Now don't use a dark purple on eyelids use a soft lilac and u can blend it in with an eye shimmering powder, you can use a color shimmering powder or just the one that will go with any color of eyeshadow you may use in the future. because your fair skinned, a black eyeliner would wash you out. i would try a smokey brown or a dark gray color instead. Gray would look nice with the eyeshadow.

black mascara with curled eyelashes.. make the shadow fade from hte outside in use black liner on the upper water line all the way to the crease to make it look like your lashes extend to there.then use a little mascara on the bottom lashes just to see that theyre trheyr. and then use a vary small linee of liner but dont make it look like a line. make it look natural !
Liner: An espresso brown color would look nice, or if you're feeling more adventurous, navy. Black always works too.
Mascara: I'd do classic black.
Gloss: Since you want something natural, try a peachy nude lip gloss. I would try to find something with nice, saturated color though so you don't look washed out.

First want to let you know, great choice of eyeshadow colors, this colors bring out the green tones from your eyes. Now don't use a dark purple on eyelids use a soft lilac and u can blend it in with an eye shimmering powder, you can use a color shimmering powder or just the one that will go with any color of eyeshadow you may use in the future. black mascara with curled eyelashes.. make the shadow fade from hte outside in use black liner on the upper water line all the way to the crease to make it look like your lashes extend to there.then use a little mascara on the bottom lashes just to see that theyre trheyr. and then use a vary small linee of liner but dont make it look like a line. make it look natural !

you can make your current eyeshadow stay on longer and give a more true color payback by putting a small amount of vaseline on your eyelids before applying. also, if you are strapped for cash try using a small amount of eye drops on your brush before putting on your current eyeshadow. it will make the colors more vibrant and they will absolutley pop. but beware that you will need to clean your brush after applying it this way because it will taint the next color you try to use.

Clear lipgloss. Use natural / light blush colour on your eye lids and then a thin flash of blue or green accross your lids along the lash line, finish off with black eye liner into a little flick. First off, what color is the dress...If you'd like to have a somewhat matching look, try to go with subtle, lighter colors of your dress.
As far as eye color - - you should stay with bronze, browns and rich purple tones (not eye-popping purples either...try staying within warm tones similar to orchid and violet) - my suggestion would be a rich warm lavender. I think these colors would bring out your eye color and make them sparkle! Make sure to complete the look with a Brown colored mascara. Brown gives your eyes a more natural rich look, where as Black tends to look fake.
For a lipgloss, I would stay in a neutral tone. If you're wanting to keep that rich natural, but still subtle beautiful look, stay away from bright colors (bright reds, bright pinks, etc - nothing bright!). To complete your look, keep your options open by going with a light, natural looking pink. Try matching close to your own lip color. Covergirl makeup has this lipstick that is amazing - it's called Outlast! The color that I would recommend for you, is either the Soft Pink Satin or Nude Satin. If you're wanting extra pouty-looking lip, or that extra glam look, I would consider going over it with a clear gloss.
As far as a foundation goes (I know you didn't mention this, but still good to know), I would again, stay with something neutral BUT natural looking. I really like the look(s) of the mineral makeup, that alot of women are using these days. Some of it can be quite pricey for the wallet (Bare Minerals, Bare Essentials, etc), but I find that Physicians Formula (found at walmart, target and other supermarket stores) does the same thing, for a fraction of the cost. Usually will run you around $10, their Mineral Wear Transluscent would probably be the best for you. I wear it everyday, and it helps cover blemishes, dark circles under the eyes, etc. One thing I have learned with wearing this type of foundation, vs. a liquid-type foundation, it's good to use brushes instead of your fingers or sponges. Try using a big blush-type brush for your overall face coverage. When you need to work on smaller areas, such as blemishes, use a smaller brush and work it in.

First off, what color is the dress...If you'd like to have a somewhat matching look, try to go with subtle, lighter colors of your dress.
As far as eye color - - you should stay with bronze, browns and rich purple tones (not eye-popping purples either...try staying within warm tones similar to orchid and violet) - my suggestion would be a rich warm lavender. I think these colors would bring out your eye color and make them sparkle! Make sure to complete the look with a Brown colored mascara. Brown gives your eyes a more natural rich look, where as Black tends to look fake.
For a lipgloss, I would stay in a neutral tone. If you're wanting to keep that rich natural, but still subtle beautiful look, stay away from bright colors (bright reds, bright pinks, etc - nothing bright!). To complete your look, keep your options open by going with a light, natural looking pink. Try matching close to your own lip color. Covergirl makeup has this lipstick that is amazing - it's called Outlast! The color that I would recommend for you, is either the Soft Pink Satin or Nude Satin. If you're wanting extra pouty-looking lip, or that extra glam look, I would consider going over it with a clear gloss.
As far as a foundation goes (I know you didn't mention this, but still good to know), I would again, stay with something neutral BUT natural looking. I really like the look(s) of the mineral makeup, that alot of women are using these days. Some of it can be quite pricey for the wallet (Bare Minerals, Bare Essentials, etc), but I find that Physicians Formula (found at walmart, target and other supermarket stores) does the same thing, for a fraction of the cost. Usually will run you around $10, their Mineral Wear Transluscent would probably be the best for you. I wear it everyday, and it helps cover blemishes, dark circles under the eyes, etc. One thing I have learned with wearing this type of foundation, vs. a liquid-type foundation, it's good to use brushes instead of your fingers or sponges. Try using a big blush-type brush for your overall face coverage. When you need to work on smaller areas, such as blemishes, use a smaller brush and work it in.

Trying to persuade your parents by using other people's opinions is not going to work (trust me from experience). They don't really care what other people think, they have their own rules. Just submit to them for a little while and eventually they'll let you wear it. Oh, and you might try asking them why they won't let you and work on whatever they want you to improve (a.k.a. attitude, maturity, diligence, grades etc.). Just a tip, but if this isn't for a parent-persuasion thing, then i don't think 8th grade is too young. I hope this helps!

If you just want to mess around and see what the different ways to apply it are, and what different looks you can come up with, I think it's fine to do on the weekends and with your friends, but I think wearing it to school may be a little inappropriate. If you are doing it to attract boys, then I think yes, you are way too young. Not to mention at that age, your skin is still is still maturing, and wearing makeup everyday will only clog pores and increase dirt on your face...creating pimples (which is much worse than going makeup-less). If it's something you have asked your parents about, and they have already said no, then once again yes, you are too young. Is lip gloss and mascara really worth getting grounded over? Do you really want to stay home while all your friends go out cause you couldn't stay away from the eyeshadow? I'm sure that's most people would agree it's not worth it. What color eyeshadow/liner/mascara/lip gloss should I use?
I have blonde hair with all different shades (like from corn silk to dirty blonde) and a fairish-to-barely medium skintone.
My eyes are a lightish blue-green color (think a lighter, bluer version of Urban Decay's Flipside eyeshadow, if that helps at all) with a dark circle of cobalt on the outside. They also have a kind of swirl of greenish gold.
My lips are a kind of dusty-rose (like Urban Decay's Kiss mixed with Purple Haze).

Ok so with like foundation i recommend not to use ( i hate it) use concealer for maybe some imperfections, and apply bronzer ( bronzer i amazing)
now they eyes( by the way they are so different and beautiful) um i use bronzer on my eyes and a light white sparkle right above my brows looks really pretty and natural.

lip use a little foundation on them like a medium color, and most def. chap stick, maybe even a little lip liner ( not to dark a natural color)

But I would highly recommend you use lipstick and gloss for your lips because they're specifically designed for that purpose, as are eye shadows designed for eyelids. Since you've had a reaction to this product already, try using some Blistex or Vaseline to act as a protective layer for your lips, and then apply the mousse eye shadow.

It might make your lips chapped...and look dry and yucky,but I guess you can if you really want too. If you think you have allergies to it then I wouldnt try it though.

I would advise you seek medical attention so you can find out exactly what you are allergic to.

That's sad that your parents are inconsistent with rules, but as a mature older sister, maybe you can teach her how to do it so it does look natural. as a kid i dont know. but y hide outer beuty. i personlly dont like a girl with pounds of make up on there head. i think a girl should feel comfortable with her beauty. a lil make up is cool. its not fair. right. but things change. my older bro didnt have a TV in his room untill he was 18. im 15 and had a tv since i was 10 i feel srry though because i have more now then he did. u should talk to ur mom or dad and tell them or look out for ur sister and take her makeup away. but thats just my advice

mascara is subtle and it makes your eyes look effortlessly beautiful without looking too made up
lipgloss is ok, besides making your lips look great, it conditions them and prevents dryness, so its good for you
eyeshadow depends on what shade you wear
blues, greens and purples are unnatural
natural colors make you look cute and fresh,
like nudes, pinks and creams

Well I'm assuming you're the oldest, many parents ';easy up'; on the younger children. If you think it isn't fair, then you're being a little silly. Does it matter now? You're almost 16 and I assume you can wear make-up now.
Think of it this way...there will be a lot of thing's you'll do before your younger sister can. Relish in the good things, don't sweat the things you cannot change. It'll just give you heartburn when your older!

For my daughters...the rule is 16 and just for lip gloss, except for special occassions, but now-a-days, poeple want others to grow up too fast. I wish people didn't need to wear makeup and that would reduce alot of problems. Just be yourself. Clean and natural.
I went through exactly the same thing with my younger sister, it seemed really unfair at the time but in the grand scheme of things does it really matter? If your sister wants to wear make up why dont you be a great older sister and teach her how to wear it subtly, and most importantly look out for her cos if she thinks she older than what she is anything could happen!

eyeliner most def if anything just apply a little, but really it's a must to me.
lip use a little foundation on them like a medium color, and most def. chap stick, maybe even a little lip liner ( not to dark a natural color)

brown , black , gray . bronze , toffe , white , coffee , orange , green , yellowish green , dark green , yellow , prune , purple , baby pink , baby green ..
as for lipgloss : any nude pink color wud look good on you ..
stay away from shimmery colors as for lipsticks .. coz ur lips are kinda big ..
try some dark colors , but not so dark , like red , dark pink , cherrys ..etc..

my friend is similar looking to you and she uses ruby color mascara or black and like purple eyeshadow! it looks very good and she buy lite tinted red for her lips or shimmer gloss and she has a couple of pink ones to but its incrediably fitting for her

your eyes look green/brownish so try green,gold,blue eye shadow.
if your hair is long try messy buns and curling your hair.

Ok so with like foundation i recommend not to use ( i hate it) use concealer for maybe some imperfections, and apply bronzer ( bronzer i amazing)

My sister and I always mix the mousse eyeshadows with lip gloss. Squirt a little clear lip gloss on to your hand, and then add the mousse. Use ur finger to mix them together, and apply it to your lips and voila! It looks really nice too!

But I would highly recommend you use lipstick and gloss for your lips because they're specifically designed for that purpose, as are eye shadows designed for eyelids. Since you've had a reaction to this product already, try using some Blistex or Vaseline to act as a protective layer for your lips, and then apply the mousse eye shadow.
Well you can, but I would not reccomend it. It would taste really icky if you got any in your mouth.
It might make your lips chapped...and look dry and yucky,but I guess you can if you really want too. If you think you have allergies to it then I wouldnt try it though.

If you are allergic to the product, you are going to be allergic regardless of wear you apply it.
If you purchased from a drugstore, you should be able to return the product and receive a full cash refund. I have done this many time with products that I am allergic to or simple don't like the color. And they refund the money with no problem.
I would advise you seek medical attention so you can find out exactly what you are allergic to.
